Hector's Last Stand (so sad).

Yes, today was a very sad day. I had to say goodbye to Hector, my beloved mode of beautiful transportation for 4 years.  We stripped him of the ladybug seat covers, took out all of his CD's, and I would have hugged him, but it was just too hot outside. I might have gotten burnt.  Hector and I had a good run. We shared many moments of laughter and tears over the years. To recount some of the good times....  Do you remember when my aunt put bullet hole stickers on Hector and people looked at me weird ( at least I hope it was the stickers!)  There was the time I finally learned how to change my windshield wipers and get a used tire all in one week.  There was my first visit to Aggieland when I ran into the concrete thing in the parking garage and broke out his parking light.  There are the many times when Hector did the work of a truck, including hauling the sleeper sofa for Catherine and Kyle, not to mention the treadmill too.  The many road trips home with Alex.  My first time to drive more than 10 miles by myself.  Lending him to guys to let them take others on dates. What can I say, Hector was and is loved and will always be a good memory.  Something doesn't come into your life the way he did to not be remembered. He wore his Hawaiian motif well, and still has his hibiscus decal from Hawaii.  There is only one Hector, all other cars will never match his greatness. So, please join me in memorializing Hector. You may leave your condolences in the comment section. May he rest in peace in car heaven.

What a fine car!

So, apprarently my roommate is a fabulous private eye or she has friends in high places, but the answers to my questions about this guy from previous entry are:

Middle Name = Wilson   B-day = May 12, 1980   Status = Single, but not looking

You know what they say, when you stop looking you actually find whatever you were looking for all along. Well, thus ends my stalking adventures for now, we'll let God work on the rest.

Have a beautiful day!

I know, you might very well pass out when you read this because it has been like forever, but here goes my profound thoughts for today ( hysterical laughing will occur now).

You know I think I always tell everybody to look at the positive things happening in your life because sooner or later I have to be reminded of that myself. If you can’t find anything positive, know that if you are reading this, at least you are alive, are literate, and won’t be in your current situation forever, hence the word “current”.  All of this to say I had an interesting weekend.  I was in a car accident on Sunday.  I am just fine but, Hector is not.  I was on 105 where the speed limit is 60.  I changed lanes and the people in front of me hit the brakes.  I hit mine and did not hit them, but the car behind me did not stop fast enough.  It was so scary.  My flip flops flew off of my feet and the lady in front of me stopped because it was so loud she thought she got hit.  I finally got a rental today, I am sure Mandy is glad she does not have to drop me off at school again. I haven’t heard about Hector’s condition yet.  I hope he is fixed soon and not totaled.  This Toyota they rented me can’t hold a candle to him, but not many a car would!  They also took my cousin to the hospital on Sunday night for chest pains.  Her tests came back fine, but she still does not feel well.  School is crazier than ever, yet I find time to call the upcoming freshman (we had a SOAR phonathon at church tonight).

So, I thank God that I am only a little sore and that I have wheels for now. I hope each of you have something great to thank God about this week. Oh, and just to make you laugh I will include a short narrative on my latest guy stories.

Last week I had a crush on a guy that I found out has a girlfriend, but never fear I might have a crush sneeking up behind that one. ( I always seem to)

So, Mandy went to Camp of the Hills as noted in her email and met Mark C(who now goes to ACU).  We proceeded to stalk him on Facebook.  I there after decided to give our lovely roommate Natalie, a mission.  She has to bring Mark C back to College Station to meet me.  Her current task is to find out his middle name, his age, and if he is taken.  I will have to update y’all on her progress.  OH and to make matters worse I was talking to CJ  at church tonight and I was talking about my mission trip to Oregon last summer and lo and behold, here came the comment, “Did you go with Mark C, do  you know him, he is a really great guy!”  This is like only the 10th time someone has said almost the exact same thing this summer. That made me laugh and smile.  So, maybe I really will meet this guy someday, until then, I at least have Facebook.”

Thanks for bearing with my stories.

Well, I hope that was worth at least a laugh or two.  Be blessed and may God make you smile at least 35 times tomorrow.

Procrastination is the key to success!

Well, there are less than three weeks left until my final studio project is due and if I used every second between now and then, I might get finished. This past week was so tiring but the weekend has been great. I volunteered for the annual AFC golf tournament and was able to scare Valerie ( one of our leaders) with my golf cart driving. She wouldn't let me reverse the cart and for all of those who know my driving, you should be laughing by now. I was only thankful my aunt wasn't riding with me. My dad came up for the parents banquet and we ended up sitting with the Wheelers who happen to have a daughter that I am in a small group with and who are also related to Jessisca's roommate Annie and Annie's boyfriend Jim sat with us. He sang so awesome with some other guys. My dad may actually like accappella ( I know I spelled that wrong) music afterall. We rented a movie, Dreamer, it was really cute if you go for that heartwarming child movie genre about horses.  We went to the early service, sat withe the Callarman's and my roommate Natalie in Sunday School and then mowed grass. So, none of you probably needed to know that much information but now you know it anyway.  My favorite part of the morning was that my art piece sold for $60 in the silent auction. I might be good for something afterall. And Amy if you are reading thins, I know what you mean in your last entry. I think the same thing to myself all the time. Have a beautiful day and i will talk to you again, proably after the 28th!

Impact Reverse Weekend

Well, as usual in the life of an architecture student I have way too much homework and not enough time, but I am procrasticating anyway. I currently have 2 middle schoolers from Houston from Impact Church of Christ sitting in my living room watching Bewitched. We just got done with the Fantastic 4 and making brownies.  These were preceded by a rousing A&M softball game in which the main highlight was the presence of George and Barbara Bush.   I got to meet more aggies today!  I helped Dana and Marissa ( friends from class) with our systems homework. I have turned into a regular Preston these days helping others with homework.  Unfortunately he is in Tulsa this weekend.  But I am sure he is "fine" as always. My classmates took our professor's son out to Northgate last night. That must have been interesting.  Other than this my life is pretty much the same. One more week to Spring Break and I will be in Colorado!!!!!!!! If only I can get through Friday and our presentation. Well, hopefully I will have something more exciting to write about soon.  As always may the Lord make you smile today!
